Rural Premedical Internship Program

Michigan State University College of Human Medicine is pleased to announce the 2021 MSU-CHM Rural Premedical Internship Program.  The Rural Premedical Internship Program is designed to be a flexible, self-directed summer experience for premedical students interested in rural medicine.  The goals of the program are to give each student an introduction to rural medicine while working on activities designed to strengthen medical school applications and interview skills.

Any student who has completed at least 4 semesters of undergraduate education is eligible to apply. Program selection is competitive, with preference given to rural students from Michigan who are interested in remaining in the state for medical training and eventual rural practice.  There is no cost for the internship program and no stipend will be provided.

Please visit the MSU-CHM Rural Premedical Internship Program Application to apply by the March 12, 2021 deadline! Only applications submitted electronically will be accepted.
