The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) invites you to attend the Virtual Medical School Fair, April 10-12.

UCLA PREP PROGRAM

The of David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA Pre-medical Enrichment Program (PREP) application is open!

Program Dates: Jul. 8, 2024 – Aug. 16, 2024

Application Deadline: 3/1/24 at 11:59pm PST

Description: A 6-week intensive summer program that provides pre-med students with the means to strengthen their ability and readiness to study medicine. Full participation in the program allows participants to enhance their chances of being accepted into medical school and succeeding once there.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Must be a 3rd year, 4th year, or recent college graduate
  • Applicants must come from an educationally or economically disadvantaged background
  • Applicants must be U.S citizens, hold a permanent residency or have documentation of approved eligibility for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) in the State of California
  • Minimum 2.8 Cumulative GPA
  • Applicants should have not taken the MCAT before July 15, 2024
  • Demonstrated interest in addressing issues affecting underserved populations in healthcare
  • Compelling personal statement (PDF Format)

Interested in pursing an MD/PhD?

The Michigan Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP, which is an MD/PhD program) on the medical campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan will be hosting an Information Session on January 24, 2024 from 12:00pm-1:30pm EST.  This is an informal chat with program staff and current fellows to answer questions about our MD/PhD program, the admissions process, and Michigan.  Interested in learning more, click here to register for this MD/PhD chat!

Choose DO Medical School Virtual Expo

The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) will be hosting virtual Choose DO – Osteopathic Medical School Expo’s featuring panel discussions with current medical students, faculty and staff. Each of our colleges of osteopathic medicine, will also have break-out rooms where applicants can speak with Admissions staff.

All of the events will be held from 12:00 noon -6:00pm ET on the following dates.

The Association for Athletic Training Education (AATE) is pleased to sponsor the AT each | moment Virtual Fair on October 25 from 1:00 – 6:00 pm (Eastern).

2023 Michigan Medical Education Day

Michigan Medical Education Day is a statewide event designed to educate pre-med students about the medical school application process. The 2023 event will be held IN-PERSON on Saturday October 7 from 9:30am – 4:00pm at the MSU East Lansing campus.

The 2023 MMED will provide pre-medical students from across the state of Michigan with programs designed to help them explore medicine as a career path and make a well-prepared decision to apply to medical school. Students will get the chance to hear directly from medical school admissions representatives and Pre-Health advisors about preparing well, as they discuss topics ranging from activities, to interviews, to admission criteria.

Who can attend?

This program is designed for current (2023-24) college students who do not have an active medical school application. Michigan residents and/or those attending college in the state of Michigan are particularly encouraged to attend. Those who have already submitted or are in the process of submitting an AMCAS or AACOMAS application for the current application cycle are not eligible to attend this event.

PA Diversity Recruitment Virtual Fair

The PA Education Association (PAEA) invites you and your students to join us for the PA Diversity Recruitment Virtual Fair on Saturday, July 15 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. ET.
