The AAMC GREAT Outreach Committee will host a Virtual Q&A session focused on biomedical graduate and MD-PhD programs/careers on Oct. 13, 4 p.m. (ET). 

This will be an opportunity for your advisees to:

  • interact directly with faculty and administrators from around the country
  • hear directly from program directors during interactive sessions
  • practice networking skills

Topics for discussion include: 

  • Writing strong personal statements
  • Obtaining great letters of recommendation letters
  • What makes a school/program the best fit for YOU? 
  • What is best for you – a direct path to graduate school or a gap year? Direct to grad school or gap years?
  • Tips for acing your interview skills
  • MD-PhD programs

Registration for the AAMC Virtual Medical School Fair on April 22, Demystifying the Application Process in the Era of COVID-19, is now open. This fair featuring 80+ medical schools and associations is free to all attendees.

During the fair, aspiring applicants will have the opportunity to chat with admissions officers & attend live information sessions:

  • Applying During and After the COVID-19 Pandemic – What’s Changed?
  • Resources to Help You Manage Your Finances as a Premed and Beyond
  • Live Q&A Panel: Anatomy of an Applicant
