UCLA Pre-Medical Enrichment Program

UCLA PREP is a unique non-residential program designed to provide premedical students from disadvantaged backgrounds with the means to strengthening their ability and readiness to study medicine. Full participation in the UCLA PREP program allows participants to enhance their chances of being accepted to medical school and succeeding once there.

For the summer of 2022, the program will be offered in person August 1st – August 26.

MSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine’s ESP

The College of Veterinary Medicine offers a free three week summer program focused on academic advancement and career knowledge for undergraduate students who intend to pursue a DVM for students from underrepresented backgrounds and Michigan residents. 

In summer 2022, the program will be hosted virtually during week 1 (June 6-10) and in person for weeks 2 (June 13-17) and 3 (June 20-24).

Join current genetic counselors from across Michigan for an informational meeting to explore the profession, learn about the pathway to become a genetic counselor, and discuss real-life clinical cases on Thursday, Nov. 4th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM EST!

Genetic counseling gives you information about how genetic conditions might affect you or your family. The genetic counselor or other healthcare professional will collect your personal and family health history. They can use this information to determine how likely it is that you or your family member has a genetic condition. Based on this information, the genetic counselor can help you decide whether a genetic test might be right for you or your relative.

WMed & AAMC are partnering to offer the Athletes Into Healthcare Initiative Monthly Workshops.
