Now, more than ever, the world needs nurses! Click here to register today for the FREE Discover Nursing Virtual Fair on Tues. Oct. 3 (10 a.m.-6 p.m. EST) and chat with nursing schools! This event provides you the opportunity to speak with admissions teams, faculty, nurses, and students.  

During the Fair, participant will be able to:

  • Learn about all degrees! (e.g., 2nd degree, associate, bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and certificate programs)
  • Gain insight on writing personal statements and completing your application
  • Discover what makes nursing one of the top health professions
  • Explore which nursing school is the right fit for you
  • Hear from faculty about their areas of research
  • Get tips from current nursing students
  • Ask questions about the nursing profession, admission requirements, prerequisites, and elements of a robust application!

Detroit Mercy’s MEAGN Program

Considering a career in health care? Ever think about earning a Master of Science in Nursing while studying to become a Registered Nurse! The Master’s Entry Advanced Generalist Nursing (MEAGN) program at Detroit Mercy’s is a unique course of study that gives students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree this opportunity.  The MSN provides the graduate opportunities for excellence at the bedside, facilitates a career in health care leadership, and accelerates entry into advanced practice through certificate or Doctor of Nursing Practice programs.


In just four and a half semesters – less than 17 months – graduates of the Master’s Entry Advanced Generalist Nursing program qualify to be a registered nurse and earn a Master of Science degree in Nursing. Our website provides helpful information including the “Admission Criteria”, prerequisite courses, and the application process.
