AAMC Fee Assistance Program

The AAMC Fee Assistance Program provides financial assistance to individuals who, without this aid, would find it difficult to take the MCAT, apply to medical schools that use AMCAS, and fulfill other application obligations. The 2021 Fee Assistance Program application opens Feb. 8, 2021.

Minority Student Medical Career Fair

The AAMC invites high school and college students in all stages of their prehealth journey to explore career opportunities in medicine, biomedical sciences, and various health professions at the Virtual Minority Student Medical Career Fair on November 20th. You can chat with medical school admissions and diversity affairs representatives from across the country from the comfort of your home. The fair will feature sessions on SHPEP; the Fee Assistance Program; the Financial Information, Resource, Services, and Tools (FIRST) program; the AMCAS® program; the MCAT exam; medical school admissions; paying for school; and video demonstrations on clinical skills such as suturing. While the focus is on supporting individuals from diverse and underserved communities, all high school and college students interested in medicine and health professions are welcome. Register today for the free Minority Student Medical Career Fair!

MCAT Registration

AAMC has noted that there are 31 MCAT testing dates between January and September, including a similar number of testing appointment as in previous years.

Registration for the 2021 testing year will be staggered to give examinees a better scheduling experience and to allow the AAMC to adapt to shifting pandemic conditions.

  • Tuesday, November 10 at noon (ET) – Register for January and March dates
    • Preregistration starts on Monday, November 2 at noon (ET). Save time on registration day by filling out your information in the MCAT Registration System in advance. 
  • February – Register for April, May, and June dates
  • May – Register for July, August, and September dates

Specific dates and times will be announced, as well as any policy changes, in advance of each registration opening.

DO Medical School Virtual Expos

AACOM invites you to meet with representatives from up to 37 medical schools from the comfort of your home on November 12 and/or December 10 from 12-6pm ET.
